A lovely hidden gem in Swad. It was quite lively for 16:30 on a Saturday but I could see why given the great value of the bottomless brunch. The food was just gorgeous, the pork belly bites were crispy melt in the mouth morsels of heaven and the trout was creamy with a lovely crisp skin. The cocktail menu has an amazing variety and as an alcohol free girl it was great to see a good choice of well thought out AF cocktails. The servers are friendly and attentive and although it’s a little pricier than most places you really get what you pay for.
Visited for my 50th birthday brunch. Could not fault any of the components. Food was 100%, service was 100%. Cocktails were 100%. We will definitely be back another time and can 100% recommend the bottomless brunch Was taken here as a surprise Mother's Day breakfast this morning, beautiful is the only word I can use. Staff amazing, food amazing
What a beautiful setting, this is a little gem in Swadlincote with what can only be described as the best pizzas in town. Unfortunately the service was slow to say there were 5 staff members on although we did get the items that we ordered unlike McDonald's lol. Everything was at a premium cost and the quality of the food reflected this, my girl had a Bakewell cocktail and I ended up with a flat Carling at the cost of £4.50 ouch. Overall the experience was nice but slow service and high cost left us feeling as there was no value for money consideration hence the 3 star rating. Nevertheless it's worth a look if you like proper pizza
Tonight, we attended the Smokehouse Event, and it was the first time we had eaten here. We were blown away by the food, the deep south atmosphere, and the incredibly creative drinks. I rarely touch any alcohol much less whiskey, so the fact I drank a few says all it needs to. The restoration of such an old & historically significant building was clearly a labour of love. The staff were amazing. They were attentive efficient, incredibly polite, and nothing was too much trouble. This is a rare gem of a restaurant where we will mostly certainly become regulars.
Very nice, good food and drinks. Boutique cocktails are expensive, as can be expected, but they are very nice and there are plenty of other drinks on offer. Food is good, haven't tried the pizza yet but hope to soon! Roast dinner and BBQ meals are very nice as well, just need to add some bread I think.
